I’ve built up various niche mailing lists of over 1.5 million subscribers. I use several different strategies for getting the RIGHT people to want to opt in to my various lists, and for maintaining readership.

 

It works differently in different niches, and it’s different if you want to have more high ticket customers on your list too.

When promoting products that sell for high ticket pricing, it’s super important to prepare in advance for the most likely objections that potential customers may have.

 

There are 20 objections that I have in a spreadsheet that I use, and there are several ways to overcome each of these objections.

 

They are also very useful to use in analysing if a product is worth promoting… Because if it’s very difficult to overcome some of these objections, it may make you think twice about choosing that product to promote.

 

So this product is great for 2 benefits. Firstly for boosting your conversion rates to sales by overcoming these objections (see how I overcome them), and secondly because they help you stay away from promoting products that are likely to struggle to convert.

Several years ago I used to write my sales letters with little in the way of story. I focused hard on all the benefits, I made sure to get solid proof in the form of testimonials and video demonstration if that suited the product… However, I only put in a few lines about ‘who am I, and why should you listen to me.’

 

The thing is though, it usually takes story to engage people’s emotions enough that they can actually see themselves using your product. They need to escape reality for a moment, and see their problem in a new light.
